After we completed the hike we drove to el Calafate. We spent the day doing laundry, grocery shopping, and relaxing at a nearby cafe. Then we drove for most of the next day. We were stressed about the border crossing because we did not receive some necessary paperwork at the previous border crossing. It was no problem at all. We got onto the famous Carretera Austral, a famous road known for its views along the way. We stopped in a random town and had dinner at the coziness little restaurant. We had some really good local salmon. The next day we drove to Puerto Rio Tranuilo to visit the marble caves. They were stunning! We spent the night in a random hospedeja on the way to Coyhaique. We went to a restaurant called Mama Guacha and had some yummy pizza and craft beer.
